Allah is the True King
The Who Listens
Ms Bayana is a loving and caring teacher. She loves reading all kinds of books to the children in her classroom. This morning, Ms Bayana is reading a science book to her students. All her students are listening very quietly.
Adam is also in Ms Bayana’s class. Every time, when Ms Bayana is reading a book to the class, Adam will listen very quietly with interest. This morning, while Ms Baiyinah reads the science book about the universe, Adam discovers the earth is only one of the many planets in this universe. He also discovers how the planets are orbiting on the Milky Way. “It is so amazing!” he reflects.

The Orbiting Planets
While reading, Ms Bayana says, “The sun, moon, earth and many other planets are always orbiting in a circle without a stop. Subhaanallah.” She also shows the children, the picture of the Milky Way and the planets in the universe.
Suddenly, it occurs to Adam that if there are so many planets orbiting in the universe, aren’t they going to crash onto one another? So, he asks Ms Baiyinah, “Teacher, if all the planets in this universe are constantly orbiting, why do they not crash onto each other?”

A Good Observation
Ms Bayana smiles at the children as she answers the question from Adam, “Children, that is a very good observation and a good question. Of course, if the there is no one who controls and manage the planets in the universe it will collide, isn’t it?” The children look at each other and some of them nod their heads.
Ms Bayana continues with her answer, “As a teacher, I control the classroom so that all the children will listen to me. I control and manage the classroom so that every activity in the class will be in order. Isn’t it so children?” Again, after thinking for a while, some of the children nod their heads.

Allah Controls the Universe
Ms Bayana says again, “Rules keep our classroom in order. Rules keep our lives proper and Allah keeps the universe in order. So, do you see that Allah is the Most Powerful King who controls the planets in the universe so that they won’t collide and crash as they go around?” She smiles and looks at Adam.
Adam returns Ms Bayana’s smile and says, “So that is why we also must abide by Allah and all his rules in the Quran. Allah controls the universe and us to keep our lives in order. Oh, Allah is the Most Powerful King of all time. Otherwise, who else can control the vast universe?”

Walking on Our Tiny Feet
“Oh, you are right Adam, only Allah the Most Powerful King of all time can control the universe. Allah also controls our bodies all the time. Please think of our small feet and the long and big body. If you have a doll, try to make it stand and walk. Can you make a doll stand and walk on its tiny feet, children?” Ms Bayana asks her students again and this time the children begins to stare at her in awe just thinking about what she has said.
“Allah is the Most Powerful King who can make anything impossible to be possible like making us stand and walk on our small feet. We are just small creatures who cannot do things as great as Allah. Without Allah’s Power, we are nothing. We almost can’t do anything and that is why we should always pray to Allah. Only with Allah’s help we do great things in our life,” explains Ms Bayana again.

The True Winners
“But teacher, why are there some non-Muslims who became great runners in the Olympic Games? They did not pray to Allah, but who gave them the power to become great runners?” asks Adam again. “Yes dear, they are great runners and they are non-Muslims. Even though they are non-Muslims, but they work hard to be great. Allah also likes and elevates those who work hard. Allah helps them with His Power and He shows mercy to all His creations. However, as Muslims, if we also work hard, Allah will help us to do great things as well as grant us heaven and these are true winners for heaven is the final place of our destination,” Ms Bayana elaborates.
