Allah is the Mighty One
A Visit to the Mall
It was a beautiful Sunday. Aleesha and her mother, Mdm Zahidah, were going for a window-shopping trip at the nearby mall close to their home. Aleesha was very happy to be going out with her mother during the weekend.
They visited the mall to shop for clothes, and afterward, they walked past the toy store. When they were at the toy store, Aleesha’s mother reminded her that she already had plenty of dolls and toys at home and explained that they were only there to buy a birthday present for Aleesha’s best friend.
But Aleesha’s eyes caught something special that she really liked. She saw a Princess Valor doll. She could not take her eyes off it. She picked up the doll, went to her mom and asked, “Please mom, can I have this doll?” Her mother said no to her request and began to move out of the store.

Throwing Tantrums
When Aleesha realised that her mother was leaving the toy store, she began to shed tears. She grabbed her mother’s pants and hung onto her mother’s right leg. She started throwing tantrums in the store that made her mother feel embarrassed.
Mdm Zahidah could not calm her down. She brought Aleesha to the car and buckled her into the front seat while she continued yelling. Mdm Zahidah then quickly drove the car back to their neighbourhood and headed home. At their garage, Aleesha refused to leave the car, so her mother just left her there without a word.
After sitting alone for a while, Aleesha became even angrier and stormed into the house. She kicked off her shoes and threw them around in the kitchen until it hit one of her mother’s favourite vases and it broke.
Feeling shocked, Aleesha gasped and stopped her tantrum. She looked at her mother, who was sobbing over her broken vase. Aleesha was afraid that her mother would hit her.

A Broken Vase
Instead of getting angry, Mdm Zahidah patiently cleared the broken pieces of glass and threw them into the rubbish bin in their backyard. Aleesha watched her mother moving around while feeling guilty.
Once Mdm Zahidah cleared the rubbish, she began preparing food for dinner. Aleesha was astonished and wondered why her mother had not gotten angry with her at all. She asked her mother, “Mom, why aren’t you angry with me? Even after I broke your favourite vase?”
“I am angry, but you are more precious than the broken vase. Ultimately, the mighty person is the person who can control their anger,” said Mdm Zahidah while holding out her hands to her daughter.
“Wow, mother! You are mightier than Princess Valor. Princess Valor gets angry with bad people, but you stayed calm even with my bad attitude, and it surprises me that you did not hit me.”

Bonding Time
After dinner, Mdm Zahidah sat down with her daughter in their study. She then reminded her daughter about the incident that had happened that afternoon. Mdm Zahidah said, “I am glad you said I am mightier than Princess Valor. But remember that only Allah is the Mightiest in this world and none is mightier than Allah.”
“Even our life is created by Allah with all His Might. He created the earth, sun, and the moon. He also created Heaven and Hell with His Might, something that no human being could ever create.”

Allah the Mightiest
“Allah the Mightiest created you in my tummy from a tiny blood clot until you are born as a tiny baby, and now you have grown up to become such a big girl. That is why we must always remember in our hearts that Allah is the Mightiest above all else. In fact, Princess Valor was created as a make-believe character, but Allah is Real. We can see His greatness by observing His vast kingdom on earth and other creations like animals, trees, and the oceans.”
“Mashallah, I am amazed by your explanation, Mom, and now I think you are smarter than Princess Valor,” said Aleesha to her mom with a warm hug.
